General management responsibility. Specialist equipment rental/sale start-up This successful European Group has secured exclusive distribution of an innovative range of products that have been developed specifically to ensure market leading performance and compliance with all necessary UK approvals. Our client now wishes to establish a new business that will be dedicated to the promotion of these products into both the rental and wholly owned equipment markets via Local Authorities, Highways Agencies, consulting engineers and other specifiers and contractors across the UK. A new Sales and Marketing Manager is to be appointed to establish and develop the business through proactive sales and marketing. As the business grows, further operational responsibilities will be assumed in order to build a successful market leading business providing full product distribution and after-sales support. The successful candidate will therefore need to demonstrate exceptional new business sales experience and strong leadership skills in a senior management role, ideally within a start-up situation. Educated to degree level, your extensive new business sales experience is likely to have been gained in the construction equipment or a similar equipment rental/sale market. As this is a start-up situation, candidates will need to be self-motivated, ambitious and hands-on in order for real success to be achieved.
