| Complex machining, fabrication and product assembly This appointment offers the opportunity to have both an immediate and ongoing impact on the profitable development of an already established market leader who are committed to delivering products of the highest quality to customers worldwide. Creating real enthusiasm for the changes necessary to remain at the leading edge of their specialist market will require both exceptional drive and outstanding communication skills. We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Director with a proven track record in introducing a modern approach to manufacturing, preferably in a unionised environment. Manufacturing processes range from welding and fabrication through paint to track based assembly and test. The product mix is made complex by the availability of a wide range of customer options and specials which in turn calls for effective management of the supply chain to avoid either shortages or unacceptably high WIP. The company is an SAP R3 user. Candidates for this high profile position are likely to be educated to degree standard. Your experience to date must have been gained in a medium to heavy engineering manufacturing environment where you will have been responsible for over two hundred and fifty staff and held responsibility for all aspects of machining, assembly and test. Crucial to success will be your ability to rapidly build confidence and take the workforce with you as you embark on an exciting period of change and growth.
