Part of a highly successful British plc, our client has been a key player in establishing a unique international market with significant growth potential. Already looking at sales of over £10 million, principally in the UK, Europe and the USA, the Managing Director will provide both strategic and day to day leadership to take the business to new levels.

A well-engineered, world-leading product range has provided the basis for success, particularly through an OEM customer base, although some sales are generated directly and via distributors. The Managing Director's key responsibility will be to identify the most effective routes to market and to lead the sales team to achieve demanding growth targets.

This position calls for well-rounded general management experience as the responsibility is not just for international sales and marketing but for all business functions including design, manufacturing and finance. Whilst first class support is available from the group, this is a stand alone business unit with its own unique culture, product and market.

Ideally your experience will have been gained in a small to medium sized capital equipment manufacturer, probably part of a larger group structure. An excellent communicator, you will use your strong engineering and sales background to provide focus and leadership during a period of rapid growth and change.
