Leadership role in production planning and material control

Our client, an international market leader, manufactures complex equipment for customers throughout the world. An experienced Logistics Manager is now required to continue to reorganisation and development of the material control, production planning and progress department's activities in order to ensure that output targets can be achieved on a consistent basis.

A strong leader with a proven track record, you must be able to inspire your team to embrace the changes that will improve operational performance in all areas of production planning and material control. Making full use of an ERP system is a key objective, particularly as this is a fast moving and pressurised environment where material shortages have an immediate impact on output and profitability.

Candidates are likely to be educated to degree level, or equivalent, and must have a strong background in logistics. Experience of resolving problems with an international supply base is a must as is your ability to cope with continuously changing output schedules. A successful and experienced man manager you will take responsibility for your team enabling them to excel under pressure, taking initiative and driving the business forward.
